TRANSLATING DIGITAL ATMOSPHERES INTO PHYSICAL FORM

PHYSICAL

PHYSICAL

The installation proposes a space where perception becomes dynamic: light constructs forms that exist only in the instant they appear. It is an exploration of light, material, and variation, unfolding in the interval between what is visible and what only occurs through movement in space. Within this shifting threshold, light becomes a quiet spiritual presence—subtle, contemplative, and guiding the viewer toward a slower way of sensing.

Suspensión Latente — 2025

The digital space is her point of departure—a place where she models atmospheres, light behaviors, and the subtle spiritual presence she perceives beneath every form. What she brings into the physical world is not a replica, but a translation: an attempt to reveal their intangible qualities through suspended structures, translucent materials, and subtle spatial rhythms.

BIOGRAPHY

BIOGRAPHY

Rosario Ocampo (b. 1994, Córdoba, Argentina) is an artist working with light as an artistic material, creating installations and perceptual atmospheres.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Design from the Universidad Provincial de Córdoba, Argentina (2012–2019), and a postgraduate degree in Lighting Design from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain (2022–2023).

Ocampo presented her solo exhibition Suspensión Latente at the Museo de Bellas Artes Ricardo Pedroni, Córdoba, Argentina (2025), and participated in LLUM BCN – Light Art Festival in Barcelona, Spain (2023).

She has also taken part in various artist development programs, including training clinics with artist Marcos Acosta (2019–2020); the CUATROXCUATRO art clinic, led by artist Pablo Sinaí and curator Federico de la Puente, Buenos Aires (2021); and #PALA22, an artist program coordinated by LAVA Galería, Santa Fe, Argentina (2022).

Her work explores light as a perceptual material, creating atmospheric environments that activate perception through subtle interruptions and spatial shifts. These environments are conceived as timeless spaces in which time loses its linear character and becomes a suspended condition. She is particularly interested in how silence, light, and spatial presence can generate states of contemplation, attention, and inner stillness within contemporary contexts.

Currently, her practice investigates the translation of digital environments into physical space, expanding the boundaries of perception through tangible materials and forms that open new possibilities for spatial and sensory communication.
